On the inside, volunteers are working feverously decorating, arranging and finalizing, all in preparation for their arrival. Everything has to be perfect. “S.W.A.P. - Saved With A Purpose”, is designed to be a three hour “Day of Beauty”, where haircuts and styles from licensed hairstylist, facial tips and application from Mary-Kay specialists, and manicures of every imaginable color from volunteers, are all provided free of charge. In the background, amidst the joy and laughter, are sounds of music videos displayed on the big screen. The hall is richly decorated with baby blue, pink and white balloon bouquets, accenting finely dressed tables. Text Box: Hair care, manicure and facial stations are systematically positioned throughout the hall. Gift bags and door prizes landscape the walls, while the aroma of freshly donated hamburgers from Burger King, fill the air. And let’s not forget the delicious ice-cream cups donated by Chick-fil-A. To end the event, each young lady receives a brand new bra (specifically sized), donated by Wal-Mart, along with several hygiene items donated by Target. S.W.A.P. hit a home run with lessons on hygiene, abstinence, and self-esteem, as the ladies were taught to honor their bodies as temples of God.
